KONTRAST presents TELEFUNKEN

Telefunken is Boffa and Cam, a music-mad pair playing up a storm on the turn-tables of Sydney and beyond.

With over 18 years combined DJ experience, the telefunken duo teamed up in 2005 after playing a gig together at the Slip Inn. They found their sounds were similar with a love for the deeper techy side of house. They found a natural groove with both their mixing and programming and above all were having a blast whilst still keeping the punters happy on the dance-floor.

After scoring their first residency on the Home Terrace, their deeper acid/tech sound has given them credibility whilst still rockin’ dance-floors across Sydney. Telefunken have since taken it out of Sydney to play at parties all over the world, San Francisco, Japan, Fiji, Nu Caledonia and closer to home in Melbourne, Brisbane, Noosa, Newcastle, Jindabyne, Wollongong and more.

Telefunken finished off 2006 on a high note by gaining Runner-Up Next Big Thing in the 3D Magazine awards. The boys then went on to rate #44 in the 2007 inthemix top 100 Australian DJ poll and secured sets at most of the major festivals across Sydney during 2007 including Playground Weekender, Ministry of Sound @ Home, Future Music Festival, We Love… Sounds, Earth Dance (32,000 people) and Pacha. 2008 and 2009 has seen much the same with the boys playing at most of the summer festivals with return appearances at Playground Weekender, Future Music Festival, We Love Sounds as well as Magnetic Islands Full Moon Party (off Townsville) and Global Gathering, at the Hordern
